Our plan is to present introductory remarks on the endangered and/or understudied languages and dialects of Japan and Korea, followed by four presentations, to be selected from submissions. We welcome papers on any aspect of these and other understudied languages and dialects in the two countries. This is part of our effort to raise awareness of unique languages and dialects found in the two countries, including the languages of the Ryukyus and of Jeju Island. The Special Session on Endangered and Understudied Languages and Dialects in Japan and Korea (organized by Shoichi Iwasaki & William O’Grady): The organizers of JK25 would like to solicit papers on endangered and understudied languages and dialects in Japan and Korea.
